Privacy Policy
Stormchaser: Extreme Weather · Effective November 4, 2026
Stormchaser: Extreme Weather ("Stormchaser") is a mobile game made by Rogue Fuse Games ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the game collects, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. Questions: support@roguefusegames.com.
In short
- There's no account and no sign-in. Your progress and settings are saved only on your device.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: full-screen ads between chases, and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch. Buying Remove Ads stops the full-screen ads between chases.
- AdMob uses data such as your device's advertising ID. Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice any time.
- Google Play handles purchases. We never see your payment details.
- Reminders are optional, off by default, and scheduled on your device.
- Today the game sends no usage statistics or crash reports. If a future version adds them (Google Firebase), you'll be able to turn them off, and this policy will be updated before that version ships.
- We don't sell your personal information.
What stays on your device
Your progress (cash, Storm Cells, truck upgrades, crews, research, unlocks, paints, records and achievements), your settings and the record of purchases you've made are saved in the game's own storage on your device. They aren't sent to us: we don't run servers for Stormchaser, so we can't see, back up or restore them. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes them. Android's own device backup, if you have it turned on, may include the game's storage under Google's terms.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version of the game shows two kinds of ads through Google AdMob:
- Interstitial ads: full-screen ads shown between chases now and then (never during a chase, and never in your first sessions).
- Rewarded ads: optional ads you choose to watch for a reward, for example doubling a haul or repairing the truck.
So that an ad is ready when it's needed, the Google Mobile Ads SDK requests ads in the background.
To show, measure and limit ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and use your device's advertising ID, device and app information (such as the model, operating system, language and app version), your IP address and the approximate location it implies, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this under its own privacy policy; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Remove Ads: buying the Remove Ads purchase stops the interstitial ads between chases. Rewarded ads stay available because they're always your choice; if you don't watch one, no ad is shown.
Your choices about ads
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): the first time you open the game, before any ad is requested, Google's consent tool asks whether ads may use your data. You can say no and still play; you'll see non-personalized or limited ads.
- US state privacy rights: if you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (such as California, Virginia, Colorado or Connecticut), you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising through the same consent tool.
- Change your mind any time: open Setup ▸ Privacy in the game to review or change your ad privacy choices wherever they apply.
- Your device settings: on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization (Settings ▸ Google ▸ Ads, or Settings ▸ Security & privacy ▸ Privacy ▸ Ads, depending on your device).
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
In-app purchases (for example Remove Ads, Storm Cell packs, the Starter Pack and paint packs) are made through Google Play. The game receives the item bought, an order ID and a purchase token, checks the purchase on your device and delivers it; it keeps a record of the purchase in your local save so the item isn't delivered twice and can be restored. We never see your name, card or payment details. Google handles the payment under its own terms and privacy policy. Purchases are optional: nothing in the game requires one to progress.
Reminders
If you turn them on (they're off by default), the game can remind you when your crews' haul is ready or a daily reward is waiting. These notifications are scheduled on your device and send nothing to us. Turn them off in the game's Setup or in your phone's settings.
Sharing a shot
If you tap Share on a picture of your best moment, your phone's share sheet opens and the picture goes only to the app and people you choose. Nothing is uploaded to us.
Usage statistics and crash reports (if enabled)
Not active today. The current version of Stormchaser doesn't send usage statistics or crash reports to us or anyone else. We plan to add Google Firebase in a future version to understand how the game is played and to fix crashes. If we do, it would work like this, and we'll update this section and its date before that version ships:
- Firebase Analytics would receive events about play (sessions, tutorial steps, chases and their results, upgrades and research, which rewarded ads were watched, purchases by item but never payment details), with a random app-instance ID, the device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate country (from your IP address).
- Firebase Crashlytics would receive crash and error reports: what went wrong, the code that was running, a short log of what the game was doing, the device model, operating system, memory and app version, and a random installation ID.
- Neither would receive your name, contacts, precise location or anything you type. We wouldn't link this data to your advertising ID.
- You could turn it off at any time in Setup ▸ Share usage data.
- Google would process this on our behalf under the Firebase data processing terms. Crash reports are kept for 90 days; analytics data for no more than 14 months.
Permissions
The game asks Android for internet and network-state access (for ads and purchases), vibration (for haptic feedback) and, only if you turn reminders on, permission to post notifications. It doesn't use your camera, microphone, contacts or precise location.
Who we share it with
- Google serves ads (AdMob), processes purchases (Google Play) and, if enabled in a future version, would receive usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase), as described above.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information for money. In some places the law counts advertising that uses data like your advertising ID as "selling" or "sharing"; the ad choices above let you opt out of it.
How long it's kept
Your save stays on your device until you uninstall the game or clear its storage. Google keeps ads and purchase data according to its own policies. If you email us, we keep the conversation only as long as we need to help you.
Children
Stormchaser is meant for players aged 13 and over and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game in a way that shared their information, contact us and we'll help remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict how it's used. Because the game keeps your progress on your device and we don't run servers for it, we usually hold nothing about you. For ads data, use the choices above or contact Google. You can always email support@roguefusegames.com; we'll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Keeping it safe
The game talks to Google's services over encrypted connections. Purchases are verified before they're delivered.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the game about significant changes.
